Letting Go of Fear, Stress, & Bad Habits is Easier than You Think
Using the Time-Tested and Scientifically-Verified Sedona Method
What does it take to overcome negative emotions, fear, or compulsions? Most of us operate under the notion that it requires some sort of difficult processyears of therapy, rigid self-discipline, reliving past sorrows and failures, or a good stiff drink. Not true!
The Sedona Method, an easy-to-learn and fast-acting technique for letting go of, or releasing, negative emotions and compulsions, has helped tens of thousands of people over the past 30 years. It is powerful because it is simple, says Hale Dwoskin, CEO of Sedona Training Associates. Until now, the Sedona Method has not been available to the general public except through seminars, and audio and video programs.
In his newest book, The Sedona Method: Your Key to Lasting Happiness, Success, Peace and Emotional Well-being (Sedona Press, September 2003, $17.00), Dwoskin upends the no-pain-no-gain theory of self-improvement. The books premise is simple: The ability to be successful, healthy, happy, and experience true peace and joy is within us right now, whether we are aware of it or not, and no matter what our circumstances. All we have to do is access it. The Sedona Method will show you how to tap into this vast potential that everyone possesses by showing you how to rediscover your natural ability to let go of even long-standing, difficult emotions with ease and alacrity.
Dwoskin bases the book on his work with thousands of individuals and corporations for over a quarter of a century and on the work of his mentor Lester Levenson. Levenson, a physicist-engineer was literally on the brink of death in 1952 when he discovered the principles of the Sedona Method, he lived another 42 happy and productive years past when his doctors informed him he was supposed to die-doubling his lifespan.
The Sedona Methods promises include:
- The simple secret to letting go of fear and anxiety
- Overcoming feelings of guilt and shame
- Breaking nasty habits
- Releasing limiting thoughts and opening the doors to prosperity
- Creating happiness, harmony, and fun in your relationships
Besides its simplicity and power, the Sedona Method is unusual in many ways.
Most self- improvement techniques only focus on a single problem, where the Sedona Method shows participants how to let go of any problem that has been in any way influenced by how they feel. Also, most self-improvement techniques are too touchy-feely for the majority of men. Seventy percent of self-improvement book buyers and seminar participants are women. Because the approach of the Sedona Method balances both the left and right parts of the brain as well as the heart and head, it appeals equally to men and women.
Lastly, most self-improvement techniques and seminars produce decreasing results over time. In a six-month study conducted by Mutual of New York with their field underwriters, the group that learned the Sedona Method outperformed a control group by 33 percent. The study was divided into two three-month segments, and the results from the second three months of the study were better than the first. The results increased over time.
The Sedona Method is taught as a live workshop throughout the world and at conference centers such as the Esalen Institute and the Omega Institute, and it is distributed worldwide as a best-selling audio course. It has also been validated by independent research, including a pilot study by Harvard Medical School.
At its core, the Sedona Method is founded on the premise that the essence of growing is letting go. We were born knowing how to let go of feelings that do not benefit us. Then our societal conditioning taught us either to repress or to express our emotions in ways that temporarily relieve us, but do not lead to more positive experiences, explains Dwoskin. The Sedona Method teaches people how to rediscover their inborn ability to let go of limitations and what they do not want in their lives, making room for positive experience, he concludes.
The Sedona Method is a do-it-yourself technique, requiring no dependency on professional help. Logically organized, written in language that is direct and readily understandable, and filled with inspiring true stories of the great successes made possible through this simple technique, The Sedona Method: Your Key to Lasting Happiness, Success, Peace and Emotional Well-being makes personal transformation fun, real, and accessible to everyone.
